Yae Sushi
A neighborhood sushi shop on the Kanazawa Kaido at Wakaremichi, right next to Mignon. It is not in the middle of the sights; it is the kind of place locals drop into. After a day on the Temple Path you will want to step through its curtain.
Our pick
Start with the barachirashi, a bowl of sushi rice scattered with toppings, and a real bargain. Still, there is a feeling that even better things are hiding on the menu. Coming back a second and third time to explore it is part of the fun.
How to use it
- An early dinner: it closes early in the evening, so go as the sun starts to sink. For overnight guests, it is dinner after a day of walking.
- Lunch, too: it is open from midday, so it works for lunch on the Temple Path.
From Wakaremichi
