A Day at Wakaremichi: Choose Your Path by the Weather

A day for those who stayed at Wakaremichi, or who arrived in Kamakura early. At each fork, choose your way according to the weather and your mood.

Morning

• Breakfast, and decide on today’s path.
• A morning visit to Egara Tenjin Shrine.

A fork in the road

• If sunny → the Valley Path: on to Zuisen-ji by way of Kamakura-gu and the site of Yofuku-ji.
• If rainy → the Temple Path: back to Wakaremichi and east along the Kanazawa Kaido, to Sugimoto-dera and the bamboo garden of Hokoku-ji.

Afternoon

• The Sea Path: back toward Kamakura Station and south down Wakamiya-oji avenue to feel the sea breeze at Yuigahama.

Evening

• When the day-trippers have gone home, return to Wakaremichi for dinner.
